This month our nutrition talk will be about Family Nutrition.👨‍👩‍👧‍👦We are going into another school year, which means school lunches and snacks but also busy after school schedules. 🥦🍗🥑🫐🥒🥪
We’ll help you navigate sugar intake with kids snacks and lunch. How to get your kids to eat more veggies plus different ways to help you meal prep while you’re busy running everyone around so you can still get a healthy dinner on the table. 😀👍🏻🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏽‍♀️

Member Spotlight 

This months spotlight is Olivia Klafter!

This months spotlight goes out to our Monthly Committed Club winner Olivia Klafter! 👏🏻Congratulations Olivia, and great job on being so consistent with the gym!
 
Olivia’s been doing CrossFit for about 4 months now. Before starting she had not had a consistent workout routine for about 3 years and she was definitely ready to get back into working out and feeling strong. She had always done weight lifting and track through sports growing up. She loves the team feel and getting to workout with others so that’s why she chose CrossFit.
 
Since starting CrossFit the biggest change she’s noticed is how much more overall energy she has throughout the day, and how much her stress has gone down too. CrossFit has been a great outlet and a way to start her day off feeling accomplished. She also loves coming to the classes and seeing how strong she’s getting and how her endurance is improving as well!
 
CrossFit has also increased her interest in paying more attention to her nutrition and making sure she eats cleaner so she can give her body the nutrients it needs. The way she eats has changed a lot since starting CrossFit and working with Meghan on her nutrition!
 
We asked Olivia what type of advice she would give someone who is looking to start their fitness and nutrition journey. This is what she said….. “Be consistent and make showing up a part of your routine. At the end of the day you’re doing this for yourself and you’re only going to get out of it what you put in.”
 
Olivia, we love having you a part of our morning classes! Your consistency shows and we love it!😀👏🏻💪🏻

078. Blood Performance Testing with Dr. Trever Wilkins

Want to improve your health, recovery and performance?! Many of us do not put a focus on what is going on in our bodies.  In this episode Trever and I discuss blood testing and the results of my recent test, what we tested and normal levels for multiple blood panels for someone that runs and does CrossFit.

The areas we discuss include platelets, metabolic panels including Glucose, Creatinine, minerals including Sodium and Potassium, Cholesterol, Thyroid, Testosterone and Vitamin D. How often should you test your blood and what are good levels for each area? Find out in todays episode!
