CrossFit Preferred Committed Club

Committed Club 2019

What is it?

The committed club is a year-long attendance challenge that will recognize and reward you for consistently showing up to CrossFit Preferred each month.  It will be broken up into monthly, quarterly, and yearly milestones with rewards along the way! In order to achieve committed club status, you will have to attend at least 15 classes during each calendar month.  At the end of each month, quarter, and year, we will recognize those individuals who have attended at least 15 classes during EACH of the coinciding calendar months.

Monthly – At the end of each month, we will recognize the monthly committed club.  All members of the committed club for that month will be entered into a raffle to win some sweet prizes!  Example: Everyone who attends at least 15 classes from January 1, 2019 to January 31, 2019 will be recognized as a member of the committed club for January and will be entered into the January raffle.

Quarterly – At the end of each quarter (3-month period), we will recognize the quarterly committed club.  All members of the committed club for that quarter will be entered into a raffle to win some sweet prizes.  Example:  Everyone who attends at least 15 classes EACH in January, February, and March will be recognized in the 1st quarter committed club and will be entered into the quarterly raffle.

Quarter 1 – January, February, March

Quarter 2 – April, May, June

Quarter 3 – July, August, September

Quarter 4 – October, November, December

 

Yearly – At the end of 2019, we will recognize and reward the individuals who have been in the committed club for all 12 months of 2019. This means you will have to get at least 15 visits in EACH of the 12 calendar months of 2019.

Prizes

Monthly – We will raffle off 1, $50 CFP Gift Certificates which can be used towards CrossFit Preferred Retail Products. (Driven Nutrition, Perfect Bars, Fit Aid, Rehband, etc.) 

Quarterly – We will raffle off 2, ½ month credits to be used towards your next monthly membership payment

Yearly – Everyone who achieves committed club status for the entire 2019 will earn a limited-edition, CrossFit Preferred Committed Club T-Shirt that they can proudly wear for the rest of their lives! In addition, we will raffle off 1 Free Month of Unlimited CrossFit classes to be used in 2020! 

FAQs

-How will the visits be tracked?

The visits will be tracked by signing in to Wodify each day on the computer or via the app.

-Does open gym count towards my committed club visits?

Yes!  Open gym will count as a visit, just remember to sign in on Wodify.

-If I do a Spartan SGX and CrossFit class on the same day, will it count as 2 visits or 1 visit? 

This will count as 2 visits towards your monthly total, just remember to sign in for both classes.

-If I miss the committed club for a given month or quarter, will that affect the next month or quarter?

No, each month and quarter are considered separately from previous months and quarters.

-Will I get a bonus for exceeding 15 visits in a calendar month?  Can I use extra visits towards a past or future month?

No, the focus of the committed club is rewarding you for being consistent each month, so there are no additional rewards for exceeding 15 visits or ways to transfer extra visits to other months.  As it relates to the committed club, having 15 visits or 30 visits in a given month are equally as awesome.

-What if I forget to sign in?

You are responsible for signing in each day so please remember to do this before every class and during open gym.  If you forget to sign in, you can reach out to one of our coaches to add you to the attendance roster for that day or sign in on the Wodify App.

CrossFit Preferred 8 Week Healthy Habits Nutrition Challenge

To start the year off right we have over 60 people participating in the CrossFit Preferred Healthy Habits Nutrition Challenge! We are so excited for this challenge!

If you are participating in the Challenge you have been placed on a team with 10 other participants. Your team leader will be contacting you by tomorrow and will be emailing your Healthy Habits Score Card so you can start tracking your points.

January  2nd is the first day to start tracking your Healthy Habits Points!

You will start by sending a picture of your feet standing on your scale to your team leader so he/she can track your starting weight. Every Wednesday morning you will send in your weight to your coach for that week in the same way. This number will be kept private!

Saturday January 5th 7:00am to 9:00 am – InBody Composition Scanning/ Before Pictures and Measurements.

This is a first come first serve basis.

Saturday January 5th 9:00am – Nutrition Workshop

 Nutrition Workshop begins. We will be going over your Inbody Scans and teaching you how to calculate and track your macros. We will also be teaching another method of measuring your food if you are not wanting to track macros.

You will also be meeting with your team at this time to go over any questions or strategies you may want to discuss. This Workshop is very important to attend if possible. If you are unable to attend the workshop please schedule a time with Coach Tiersa or Coach Tara to get your Inbody Scan.

The Healthy Habits We Focus On Each Day Are:

  • Getting 7+ hours of sleep
  • 5 days of physical activity a week
  • Drinking 64 ounces of water
  • No eating past 9:00PM
  • No soda, or alcohol 6 days a week
  • No refined sugar 6 days a week
  • Eating 5 fruits or vegetables a day
  • Tracking what you eat (either a food journal or smartphone app or simply pen and paper)
  • Communicating with other people in the program (via Facebook, email, text, phone call, etc or by participating in conversations in our members only FaceBook group).

Prizes!

Besides getting healthy, there will be prizes for:

  • The person who loses the highest percentage of body fat
  • The person who earns the most healthy habits points
  • There will also be a team prize for the team with the most combined total points
  • You will track your points manually on a sheet that looks like this
  • At the end of each week you will add up all your points and turn in your weeks points to your coach. He/she will keep a running total of each team members points

For everyone that is a part of the nutrition challenge you will receive a Discount on Driven Nutrition of 10% off.

Picture Day Saturday January 5th!

We have a professional photographer coming in Saturday January 5th for all of the morning classes. Please wear one of your CrossfFit Preferred Shirts to class. We will get some great pictures of each of you to share!

CrossFit Preferred Facebook Live!

Starting tomorrow January 2nd, 2019 we will be starting a weekly

Facebook Live at 12:00pm each week!

This week Tiersa and I will be discussing the CrossFit Preferred Committed Club and the 8 Week CrossFit Preferred Healthy Habits Nutrition Challenge!

We will also have a Q&A at the end of the show for anyone that has any questions about the CFP Committed Club, the nutrition challenge or any other questions we can help you with!

Featured CrossFit Preferred Athlete – Mike Rudder

Mike Rudder has been with us at CrossFit Preferred since May of 2017! He started with us because his wife Cassandra and him were expecting their first child (Wade) and he was out of shape and decided he needed to start taking care of his body so he could keep up with him. He is 18 months now and Mike is in excellent shape!

When he first started he was afraid of not being fit enough to even start doing CrossFit. He was worried how he was going to keep up with everyone that had been doing this type of training for years.

When he started he took our CrossFit Preferred Foundations/On Ramp Classes and they made a huge difference for him! He was able to start the classes and ask questions and have the workouts scaled for him and start from where he his fitness level was at currently. He has continually improved and not just got in the type of shape to keep up with his son but has excelled and become one of the best athletes in the gym!

For 2019 he is most excited for the 8 Week Healthy Habits Nutrition Challenge and dialing in his nutrition! He is looking forward to creating some better habits and doing a challenge that is more than just a couple weeks! He is also very excited to have Cassandra do the challenge with him so they can improve together.

He is also super excited to do the CrossFit Open for the first time and push himself to another level! He recently hit a bunch of PR’s and is excelling and he is excited to keep improving and learning new things like muscle ups and improving his aerobic capacity.

Something unique that most people do not know about Mike is he took dance in high school for three years! He said that is why he points his toes:)

His favorite music channel to train to is “A Day To Remember”. It is fast and gets him amped! 

His favorite movements are Squats and Hand Stand Push Ups!

His most hated exercise is anything on the Assault Bike! 🙂

The most important thing to him right now is his family and being a great Dad and Husband!

One thing he shared that many of us have experienced is that he started with us to get in better shape but has stayed because of the friends he has mad and gets suffer through workouts with. He also wants to s look great for his wife! His fitness journey has now become more about improving and staying in great shape long term so that he can be healthy and strong for his family.

One of my favorite things he said was “If you are thinking about joining you should. If you think it is going to be to hard it will be the right amount of hard. If you are having any misperceptions come down and try out a class and see how it fits for you”.

If you do not know Mike or follow him on Instagram you are missing out. He is hilarious and will entertain you! He is such a fun person to be around and train with!

Rocky Point Toy Drive was a Huge Success!

 

Thanks to everyone that donated to The Rocky Point Toy Drive. Because of each of you that donated we were able to help collect over 4000 toys for the children in the Rocky Point, Mexico area!

Christmas Day Workout/Breakfast Was So Much Fun!

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Christmas Day workout and breakfast! It was a great workout and we all had so much fun pushing each other and enjoying a great breakfast provided by Ryan Roberts (Coach Tara Roberts Husband) He is the best! Thank you Ryan!

CrossFit Preferred Level Testing – First Saturday of Every Month!

Did you know that CrossFit Preferred has level testing? We have 4 level tests! We have the Level 1 Gray Test, Level 2 White Test, Level 3 Red Test and the Level 4 Black Level Test that only 17 have ever completed!

We now test the first Saturday of each month! For each level that you pass you get a shirt the color of the test! Come earn your shirt and LEVEL UP at CrossFit Preferred!

Spartan Race – CrossFit Preferred Team

Join the CrossFit Preferred Team for the Spartan Sprint Race February 9th at 10:30am! We have a great team and it is going to be such a fun time!

This will push you in your training the next month!

It is a 3-4 mile race with obstacles and we can prepare you for this race no matter what shape you are in right now!

We have a Spartan Class on Monday and Wednesday at 7:00pm and Saturdays at 7:00am – Coached by Spartan SGX Coach Andrew Lucero!
