Athlete of the Month!

This months Athlete of the month is a Welcome post to our newest coach Jon Moreno!! 

(Jon Jon)

Jon is an OG member of CFP joining back in 2014 and now coming back to his old stomping grounds. He will be coaching our Tuesday and Thursday evening classes!

Jon has been coaching since 2018 and got his CrossFit Level 2 last year.

Jon has an incredible story which gave him a passion for CrossFit as he says “CrossFit literally saved my life. CFP was the first box I ever went to. I want to give back what was given to me and the gateway that CrossFit provided for me to live a life of purpose.”

Seeing members going from I don’t know if I can do this, to I know I can do this. Is what Jon likes the most about coaching.

When Jon isn’t coaching or working out you can find him outside being in nature. He loves to load up his Jeep and enjoy camping in the outdoors exploring new trails.

To get to know Jon better we wanted to know how CrossFit helps him in his day to day life. “CrossFit has given me a lot of things, but the biggest thing is it gave me self confidence and a belief that I can accomplish anything with consistency and hard work.”

We asked Jon to share a unique fact about himself so we can get to know him better. This is what he said. “I work for the best organization. The Keala Foundation based in Kauai has the best kids CrossFit curriculum around hands down. If you’re interested in facilitating Keala programming let me know!”
