Athlete of the Month!

When we say this gym is like family… we mean it! Introducing our very own Father + Daughter CrossFit Duo: Katelyn & Brad Crane!
Katelyn has been a member since 2020 and Brad started in November in 2022. Katelyn started her journey as a way to continue her fitness outside of her sports schedule and Brad initially started to spend more time with his daughter before she goes off to college soon. We asked them a few questions about their experience with

CFP, here is what they had to say:

Q: How long have you been doing CrossFit and what made you have a desire to start?

Katelyn: I have been doing CrossFit for a year and a half. I wanted to become stronger and be more active.

Brad: I have been doing CrossFit for 2 1/2 months. I started so that I could spend more time with my daughter before she moves out of the house.

Q: What is one unique thing about you?

Katelyn: My dad and I love to ride dirt bikes together!

Brad: I race dirt bikes. I was also on a dance team in college and represented the USA in a China dance festival.

Q:What has been the biggest change you have noticed since starting CrossFit?

Katelyn: I have gained a lot more endurance in everything I do!

Brad: Increased flexibility and strength. I am stronger and have more sustained energy riding my dirtbike with less pain in my shoulders!

Q:What advice would you give someone who might be interested in starting a fitness and nutrition routine?

Katelyn: I would say that if you have ever thought about joining CrossFit then you need to join now because it will help you in your life more ways than you could think.

Brad: Stop thinking and start doing! NOW! I will see you at the next CFP class.

CrossFit Preferred Calendar of Events

We want to thank everyone who has signed up and participated in our gymnastics clinic.

Coach Andy did such a great job with coaching our members to improve their Toes to bar, linking their kipping pull ups and much more. We had so many members pick up the method of butterfly pull ups and muscle ups. We all left knowing what we need to do to improve our strength in these movements.

CrossFit Open

The CrossFit Open is the season kick off of the CrossFit Games. This is a 3 week international competition where anyone, regardless of their fitness level or ability, can compete.

Here at CFP we form teams and host a “Friday Night Lights” event every Friday night for 3 weeks starting on February 16th.
