Busy week at CrossFit Preferred

Thursday we will have a┬áNutrition Class at the gym at 7:00pm (Please note there will not be a 7:00pm class), There is no charge to come to this class. Please come join us and learn some great ways to improve at nutrition. Tiersa will be teaching about Flexible Dieting and hitting your Macronutrients daily. Tiersa’s degree from Arizona State University is in Dietetics/Nutrition. She has helped many people lose weight and improve their overall health. She wants to help all of us to improve in this area. You do not want to miss this class. This will help you to have better health and improve in CrossFit. Friday and Saturday we will be hosting the SEALFIT Basic Training and Turning Steel Event (Please see below).[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text delay=”0″]

CrossFit Open:

We are one month away from the CrossFit Open! Mark your Calendars to join us Thursday February 25th at 5:00pm. We will make it an excuse for all of us to get together and make it a party each week. Some will be doing the workout when they announce that night. You will have until Monday morning to complete the workout. For those that are new to CrossFit this is a very fun time in the CrossFit world! Even if you are not competitive it is still worth signing up and see how you place in the world. It is fun to compare your results each year.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text delay=”0″]Anybody 14 years or older can sign up. There are different scaled workouts for the Teens. There are RX Workouts and Scaled workouts for the adults 18 and older.┬áThe preparation you are doing now will help you to do great! Keep pushing yourself every time you come to class and make sure you are consistently coming to class. SEALFIT Basic Training:

We are super close to the SEALFIT Basic Training Certification this Friday and Saturday! This is a rare opportunity that we will have this event here in Arizona. We are one of a few gyms in the world to host this event. The SEALFIT site is now updated for those that have not signed up for the new format. We will focus on the Basic Training Certification Friday January 29th from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Saturday January 30th we will go from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We will incorporate what we learn from the Basic Training Certification then we will have a Turning Steel seminar on defending ourselves in everyday life. I have attended both of these events and they both teach you great skills you can use in everyday life. We will have some great workouts both days. Do not be intimidated by the workouts we will make it great for everybody attending. You will be learning great skills/techniques and practicing them. Come learn how SEALFIT will make you a better person. This week is week 8 out of 12 of our CrossFit Endurance Phoenix Marathon/Half Marathon training. Everyone participating is experiencing great results and becoming stronger everyday! This week we are working on the Wall Drill to improve our form. These drills will help everyone whether you are running the marathon or not. Just like all of the Olympic lifts and movements that we do in the gym there is a proper form to running.
