We had several members get their first Muscle Up in their 16.3 Open Workout.  Congratulations to Andrew Lucero, Nick McLean and Allie Deely. We know everyone is giving it their all in these workouts and seeing the results that high intensity training provides!

 

Please don’t forget to submit your 16.3 score by 5 PM tomorrow.  This is an hour earlier than previous weeks because of the time change.

 

There are only 2 weeks left of the CrossFIt Open so many of you may be wondering what is next. For those of you who are loving the competition that the open brings we want to make you aware of a couple CrossFit Competitions coming up. April 2nd there is a competition called Operation Charlie Mike by Wodforsaken which is a great competition that brings adaptive athletes together with other Crossfit Athletes in a great competition! It is at CrossFit Forever Strong in Chandler. If you put in the code: ocm20 you will receive $20 off your registration! On April 9th the 2016 Spring Fling Competition will be held at Power in Motion in Scottsdale. It would be so great to have several teams from our gym compete at either of these events. Lets continue to push the intensity this week as we face each of the WOD’s this week and especially 16.4! Here are the workouts for this week.

March 13th – March 19th 

MONDAY

(We have options here due to the 16.3 testing and retesting.)

WEIGHTLIFTING

Snatch

3×1 at 80%

5×1 at 85%

3×1 at 80%

Front Squat

Work to your heaviest single 3 second pause front squat.  Reduce the weight by 10% and do 8 more reps in as few sets as possible.

METCON 

3 RFT:

15 OHS (or Front Squat)

30 Wall Balls, 20/14

60 Double unders

TUESDAY

WEIGHTLIFITNG

Clean and Jerk

EMOMx6: 1 CJ at 75-80%*

*do not exceed these numbers today.

4 Deficit Kipping HSPU – you choose the height

6 pistol squats each leg

8 Pullups
